The "Blue Zone" of Italy
Blu Zone (in inglese Blue Zoneis a term used to identify a demographic and/or geographic area where life expectancy is significantly higher than the world average.
The concept came about when scholars Gianni Pes and Michel Poulain published in Experimental Gerontology their demographic study on human longevity, which identifies the province of Nuoro, Sardinia, as the area with the highest concentration of centenarians in the world.
The scholars, in order to proceed with their work, drew series of blue concentric circles on the map indicating the areas with the highest longevity, hence the term "blue zone."

A unique and ideal location thanks to the average annual temperature, in Arborea (Oristano) it is possible to cultivate microalgae with natural resources from February to December, thus ensuring a completely profitable and sustainable production.
The collaboration with important research institutions and the presence of synergic companies for the development of innovative solutions in agribusiness make Sardinia even more suitable for Livegreen's ambitions.
